Driving with a Roof Box
When driving
with a roof box it should be noted that the car will handle differently
as a result of the increased height and weight:
Your car
will be more sensitive to crosswinds.
A loaded
box causes a shift in the centre of gravity which leads to changes in
behaviour round corners and under braking
The height
of the vehicle can be increased by up to 60cm. Care should be taken when
putting the care into the garage and when driving under low bridges.
Check that
the roof box and the load carriers are correctly fastened to the car -
on long journeys check again when you stop for a rest or for petrol.
Driving
with an empty roof box increases your petrol consumption unnecessarily.
Remove the box when it is not needed.
