Storing a Roof Box
In order to keep your roof box in good
condition when not in use here are a few storage tips.
Damp, cold
or heat cannot damage an ABS box. If you leave luggage in the box you
should take care that the place of storage is not damp.
 Clean the
box and oil the locks and hinges if the box is not to be used for a long
period of time.
Do not store
the box standing - it may deform.
Tip
A box
lift requires a minimum of space and is the most practical method
of storage if you have a garage:
Drive your
car under the box and you can wind down the box in no time at all. If
you wish, the box can remain attached to the load carrier, making the
process of attachment even easier.
